In DarkMX I 1.42 on Ubuntu Linux (.deb file), I had set /home/user/Downloads as my downloads folder. And when searching in DarkMX, it found a file in this folder, the file which is sensitive and should not be shared.
I do not have the Downloads folder in my Library, so it should not be shared.
Setting new empty sub-folder of Downloads folder as my DarkMX downloads folder and restarting DarkMX still finds the file.
Search results does not explain sharing status of the file and keeps you uncertain.
I think that the app should not index any file which i have not specifically asked to be indexed/shared. Or adding "Status" column to explain file status:
Local not-shared
Local shared

If the file is not shared, and/or not in a folder that is all shared, the file should NOT be seen by others. Just to clarify your problem, you have a sensitive file in your DarkMX downloads folder (downloads folder is not in your library), but you can see the file when you search? Are you sure that the file isn't in any other folders you are sharing? Are you seeing the file when you search the network or when you search yourself?
